Faith Formation - Christian Education

The Christian faith is a life-long journey of growing in our relationship with Jesus Christ. One component of the growth in our faith comes from on-going education. We study Godís Word to hear what God has to say to us. We discuss Godís Word with others to gain the perspective and insights of others.

FAITH AT HOME (Sunday School)

We offer Sunday School twice a month on Sunday mornings from 10:52-11:47 for all families and individuals. Our current program meets as whole families once a month and supports the program with servant and social events at the second  session.  Check out our Newsletter for specific dates and activities. The basis of our program is to help families teach faith at home.

Helping youth take on their own baptismal promises is an important part of the Lutheran church. Confirmation instruction focuses on the Bible and Christian faith development. At Lakeview, confirmation starts in 6th grade. Class meets on Wednesdays, September through May from 6:16-7:47. See the calander for specific dates.

We have various book groups and special events throughout the church year with sessions dealing with biblical stories, faith development, and deeper spiritual growth.  Look at our newsletter for current opportunities.

Join us on Tuesdays from 12:00-1:00 as we use the bible and media to look at issues of faith and the world around us.  Bring a bag lunch and get ready for some great discussion.

Throughout the year we have special opportunities that present themselves.  Members of community organizations, leaders in faith, and others share their stories, gifts, and passions as we together seek ways to put our faith into daily life.  See either the calendar or newsletter for upcoming events.
